This privacy policy governs your use of the software application DICOM File Viewer for mobile devices.
1. Information Collection and Use
The Application does not collect or transmit any personally identifiable information from your device. Your medical files (DICOM) are processed locally on your device and are never uploaded to our servers or shared with third parties.
2. Local Data Storage
The Application saves a local history of the files you have opened (file path and basic metadata) to your device's internal storage using a secure database. This data stays on your device and can be cleared at any time via the Settings menu.
3. Advertising and Third-Party Services
This app uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and use certain data (such as advertising IDs) to show relevant ads. You can manage your ad preferences and consent through the in-app consent dialog (UMP).
4. Permissions
The app requires "Files and Media" access to open and read DICOM files stored on your device. This permission is used solely for the purpose of displaying the images you select.
5. Security
We are concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. Since we do not collect personal data, the risk of data breach from our side is minimized. We recommend using device-level security (PIN/Biometrics) to protect your locally stored medical images.
6. Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy here.
