Thank you for using Phone Microphone Tester (the “App”). Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App does and does not collect, and how the microphone permission is used.
Please read this policy carefully. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
1.Summary (Plain Language)
- The App does not record your audio.
- The App does not save or store any audio, files, or recordings.
- The App does not upload or transmit any audio or personal data anywhere.
- The App does not collect any personal information.
- All microphone input is analyzed live, in real time, entirely on your device, and is immediately discarded.
- The App contains no user accounts, no sign-in, and no tracking.
2.Microphone Permission
The App requests the microphone permission (RECORD_AUDIO)
for one purpose only: to read the live audio signal from your device’s
microphones so it can display real-time diagnostics such as the decibel (dB) level
meter, waveform, and frequency spectrum.
- The microphone is only accessed while the App is open and in use.
- Audio is processed in memory, in real time, and is never written to storage, never recorded, and never sent off the device.
- The App does not listen in the background.
If you deny the microphone permission, the App’s testing features will not function, but no other part of your device is affected.
3.Bluetooth Permission
On some Android versions, the App requests the BLUETOOTH_CONNECT
permission. This is used only to detect and route audio to
connected Bluetooth microphone accessories (such as headsets) so that you can
test them. The App does not access your contacts, messages, call
history, location, or any other Bluetooth data.
4.Data We Collect
We do not collect, store, share, or sell any personal data.
Specifically, the App does not collect:
- Audio recordings or voice data
- Names, email addresses, or contact information
- Location data
- Device identifiers for tracking or advertising
- Usage analytics or behavioral data
Because no data is collected, there is no personal data to access, correct, export, or delete.
5.Third-Party Services
The App does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising networks, crash-reporting SDKs, or social media services that collect personal data.
If this changes in a future version (for example, if optional analytics or ads are added), this Privacy Policy will be updated before those features are released, and the Google Play “Data safety” section will be updated accordingly.
6.Children’s Privacy
The App is a general-purpose utility and is safe for all ages. It does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction).
7.Data Security
Because the App does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data or audio, there is no user data at risk of a breach. All audio processing happens locally on your device and is discarded immediately after it is analyzed.

By using the App, you consent to this Privacy Policy. The microphone is only used after you grant permission, and you may revoke that permission at any time through your device’s Settings.
