- On-Device Image & Text Data: Images loaded into the app and text detected by Google ML Kit OCR are processed exclusively on your local device RAM. We do not transmit your screenshots to external cloud servers.
- Device & Usage Identifiers (AdMob): Non-identifiable technical data (e.g., Advertising ID, IP address, device brand/model) may be collected by Google AdMob for ad serving and frequency capping.
- Consent Preferences (Google UMP): Your consent preferences for advertising personalization are stored locally on your device in compliance with EU/EEA user consent policies.
2. App Permissions & Why We Need Them
Screenshot Text Editor requests only permissions essential for core features:
- Storage / Media Permission (
READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE/ Media Store): Allows you to pick screenshots and images from your photo gallery for editing and save edited screenshots back to your device. - Camera Permission (
CAMERA): Required only if you choose to capture a new photo directly within the app to edit text. Camera access is active only during explicit capture actions.

- Google On-Device ML Kit: Provides fast, private text recognition directly on your device hardware without external server calls.

4. Data Retention & Security
Because your screenshots and edited files are kept exclusively on your local device memory and storage, you maintain 100% control over your data. Deleting the application or removing images via your gallery permanently erases all associated local app state.

Screenshot Text Editor is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can immediately delete it.
