All information retrieved about connected USB devices (such as Vendor ID, Product ID, Manufacturer Name, Serial Number, USB Class, Interfaces, and Endpoints) is processed locally on your Android device using standard system hardware APIs.
2. No Personal Data Collection or Tracking
We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any personally identifiable information (PII), device identifiers, location data, or usage analytics. The application operates entirely offline and does not require an internet connection or remote server infrastructure.
3. No Inspection of Drive Contents
The application inspects hardware USB descriptors and technical metadata only. It does not read, scan, modify, or upload private files, documents, photos, or data stored on connected USB drives or storage devices.
4. Android USB Permissions
Android OS requires explicit user consent before an application can inspect detailed hardware descriptors or open communication channels with connected USB devices. USB OTG Device Info requests USB permissions solely when necessary to display technical hardware information requested by the user.
5. Local Device History
If you enable the optional Device History feature in settings, lightweight diagnostic records (such as device name, manufacturer, VID/PID, and detection timestamps) are saved locally within private app storage on your device. You can clear or delete this history at any time from within the app.
6. Export and Sharing
Any diagnostic reports copied or exported from the app are generated locally and shared only when explicitly initiated by you through standard Android system share tools.
7. Children's Privacy
USB OTG Device Info does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. The app is a general utility tool that does not collect any data from any user.
